Stupid Photoshop Xmas card question

I'm ticked at myself because I can't find my copy of the packet Barb made for us at the last workshop. I'm an overwhelmed moron.

Anyway, we can scan in a background right? I found adorable scrapbook paper from my collection that I would love to use. It's as simple as scanning it into my computer and then using that file over in Photoshop...right? TIA!!!


P.S. I'm willing to pay for copying and postage if anyone can send me a copy of their packet. Thanks. Maybe after Xmas my life will be back in somewhat of an order!

yes...scan the background...

Remember where you scanned the file too (say My Pictures)...then open photoshop and open the file. You can select all (Ctrl + A) and copy (Ctrl + C) and then paste into a new layer on the picture that you want a backdrop in...
