Stupid DSL issue

The new DSL in my house is making my phone all static-y. I have the filter, but it does not seem to be working very well. Is there something else I can do or buy to make my phone sounds better?

(oh I have a wireless router for my internet if that makes a difference).

Do you have a filter on every single device? Answering machines, and DVR too? I put one where the line comes into the house as well. I figured it would cover everything in the house, in case I missed a spot.

We swtiched to FiOS recently, but had DSL for several years.
