Stupid Food Question....
Can we have Miso soup in the first tri?
I'm pretty sure it's ok but I remember someone telling me not too, but i can't remember who or why?

eat up!
Miso is fermented tofu, but that doesn't mean there is any alcohol in it.
The soup is boiled, so there is no chance for bacteria in it.. and seaweed has negligible amount of mercury.
Besides lots of studies show eating miso prevents wrinkles. You're making me want some for lunch!

Yes... I asked my doctor about it b/c I LOVE it too... lol. It was one of the few things I could keep down the 1st tri. Now I want hibachi!

I wondered about that too. I know the seaweed probably has mercury but not sure how MSG is safe or not. Most miso soup contains MSG. Read the label.
