Stupid question about when to have a birthday party

I am already thinking about DS's 1st B-day I know it is 6 months away but I also have over 80 adults and kids I would have to invite so I am definetely NOT having it at my house and I know halls book up fast.

Anyway, DS's birthday is on the 2nd which is on a Wednesday next year. Would you have his birthday party the weekend before or after? Or does it not even matter? I know some people are superstitious about these things and would never have a party before their actual birthday.

I have no superstitions about having it before the actual birthday, but I would just see if any holidays or other event functions may happen around that time and then see which weekend would work better. I would more likely chose the weekend after.

If any of my kids b-days fall during the week I usually have the party before or after depening which is closest to it. Being your sons b-day is on a Wed. you could do it either weekend. See whats better for you.
