stupid question of the day?
Please bear with me I am totally crazy and neurotic. Can someone explain to me what it feels like for the baby to kick? I've assumed its been him for the last couple of wks but woke up this morning worrying that its BH or something. What I think are kicks are typically one at a time and they feel like they revuberate in my belly, almost like they can be big gas bubbles floating around but I don't have any gas. Can anyone put my mind at ease? I'm 23 weeks and feel like a total moron!

Kicks felt like quick thumps to me but when she was rolling around it did feel like big bubbles or like I was on a roller coaster.

Yes in the beginning they feel like little bubbles and as time goes on more like pokes from inside and then you will eventually see your whole belly move from side to side.

Re: stupid question of the day?
For me, they are very distinct. It almost feels like a fish is flipping around inside me, about 2 inches below my belly button. Feels like a rolling object inside me...that's the best way I can explain it. I personally would never describe it like gas pains/bubbles. It feels different than gas to me.

Re: stupid question of the day?
What you are feeling is probably a kick sounds it to me..Its one at a time and feels like something banging into you..Its hard to explain this is my 3rd time and I still cant explain what it feels like. When you feel the kicking push in on your belly to like play with the baby and they will most likely kick you again I do this at night...

Re: stupid question of the day?
Sometimes the movements feel like flutters or bubbles. Sometimes they feel like jabs. As you progress, they will feel as if your baby is doing laps inside your belly. To be honest, I never knew (and still don't) if I was getting kicked or feeling an elbow. I dont feel feet per se. I just feel something.
At 35 weeks, Ed-lie is "Doin Da Butt" - every once in a while, a protrusion will emerge from my abdomen and now, since her head is down, it can't be anything else but her tiny heiney.

Re: stupid question of the day?
I'm 21 weeks and feel all day long. How I can describe it is little taps, it does not feel anything like gas to me or bubbles, it's a feeling I've never had before. It's so amazing. I was watching my belly the other night and saw him kick on the outside

Re: stupid question of the day?
I feel the baby all day long and I can't really distinguish between a kick and punch either but what I do feel is a lot of thumping, rolling, and poking. What body part is doing it all is beyond me but there is a lot of movement. (I am 31 weeks) You will know it when you feel it........for me it doesn't feel like any other sensation I've ever had in my body. Early on it was like bubbles and a nervous stomach but by 20-21 weeks it was hard to mistake the baby for anything else.
