Stupid stupid stupid
Ughh I'm an idiot sometimes.
So, if you remember I posted about the job in the Bronx, how after I interviewed they went and reposted the job several times.
So, I was talking to my husband and he said why don't you find out what you can improve on so you can work at it.
I thought it was a good idea, and I remember hearing that in the past.
So I emailed the principal asking for some advice since I saw the ad posted almost every day.
She said, we haven't counted you out yet, we are just looking to hire 3 teachers.
UGHHHHH 
When I interviewed you told me there was only 1 8th grade position!!!
Now I feel like an idiot. I probably just blew it!

I think just the opposite! If I was a Principal and someone called back for constrcutive criticism I would see them as someone who is always looking to be better at their job--what boss doesn't like that!

If you really "blew it", she wouldn't tell you there was still a chance!! She would just be like....... yea sorry!!  .. but she didn't say that!!
Anyway don't beat yourself up over things out of your control! You had no idea that was the situation and just made assumptions based on all those job postings! Anyway, I think you did nothing wrong!

You did nothing wrong. I bet that they understand that looking for a teaching job is rough in any economic climate, but even more so now. It's good that you followed up because it shows interest.
