Stupid things people say.
I work in a doctors office so yesterday a patient came in and said....
Patient: When are you due?
Me: 11 weeks
Patient: OMG you're sooo big. Are you going to make it?
My expression:   
Today, another patient comes in and says...
Patient: Oh, you're having twins?
Me: No, there's just one in there.
Patient: You look like there's a whole family in there.
*** is wrong with people. Before I got pregnant I weighed 110lbs. I have only gained 18 pounds. I don't think that's alot. And the ONLY place I've gained weight is in my belly. Um, I have a living thing growing there..shouldn't I have gained weight.

People suck, My FIL (who is at least 65 lbs overweight) told me the other day I was getting fat. I rubbed his belly & asked him "So when are you due?" That shut him up.

Sometimes you just gotta ignore people...they DO suck!!!
When I told my family last weekend I was pregnant, one of the first things out of my Dad's mouth was "you better not eat too much!"
?! I'm like, what did he just say?? Thanks for the advice Dad!! Some people just blurt out whatever and don't necessarily think first!!!

holy crap! that is VERY rude! some ppl just need to be more tactful! sorry you had to get that and even more so that you have to respond nicely to them because you work there and they're patients.

I'm in the same boat. Gained about 10 pounds from being 109. They act like I've swallowed a 6 month old and need to slow down.

My two bosses are prizes:
One says to me "You'd better not get fat, so many pregnant women get fat" Uh. A$$ you are supposed to gain weight when you are preggo, but your cigar STINK will help me with that b/c it makes me VOMIT.
And my other boss yesterday told me her friend looked so much better pregnant than I do, and that I looked like crap.

I used to get asked if I was having twins all the time. They would ask" Are you sure there aren't 2 in there". I felt like crying. People have no clue and should think before they speak!

I have to remember this next time I see my FIL. I walked in there last weekend and he said "whoa, look out for chubby" I was so upset! People don't think before they talk.

Similar to this one.
I'm having a boy, but people want to argue with me about it. Like their intuition is better than the ultrasound.
Anyway, this one woman at work says to me:
"Well, you don't have hips really, so it's not a boy.
And you've broken out so much, it's GOT to be a girl. They steal your beauty."

I got that ALL the time. 4wks post partum I have 7lbs left to lose. I think it is more dramatic in ppl that don't gain a lot of extra weight b/c it's all belly...
