Sub Question
How are the following different from one another:
Per diem sub
Permanent sub
Preferred sub
And if a job description stated "In accordance to existing salary schedule" , specifically for a preferred sub- does that mean that they get paid like a regular teacher would?

Per diem - either they call you, or you have to log onto their online system daily to book jobs.
Permanent - you report to the same building everyday, don't have to wait for a call, it's your job to report their everyday.
Preferred - (i may be wrong on this one) You are offered jobs before others, so you get priority over other subs in the district. So most likely you'd work everyday, but not in a set school.
Subs never get paid like a regular teacher. Always on a per diem basis, at whatever rate the district determines the daily pay for subs is. So the salary schedule they are referring to is that which they've determined for substitutes, not teachers.
