Sudafed cough and cold (1st tri)
So I am sick as a dog... doctor informed me I have the flu. I went to my primary care yesterday and though he says he's not crazy about taking any meds in 1st tri (I'm 14 wks), he said this isn't too bad. I've seen many girls write in that they've gotten the ok from their dr. to take sudafed. How often have you taken it? I'm completely paranoid and trying not to take it much at all. I only took it twice yesterday - 2 capsules in the am, and 2 in the pm. But I'm sooo sick! Any advice?

My dr told me that Sudafed passes through the placenta. There is a web site where you can look up all meds and see what the effect is on a fetus. I will find it, give me a sec...

I got sick 3 times during my first trimester. I lived on Robitussin and Robitussin All Natural Cough Drops. I'm not sure about Sudafed, but I know the plain Robitussin is ok.
Feel better!
