Suffolk Stores for Boys' Christening Outfits?
Sorry to barge in here, but I have a question....I've been asked to be the godmother for my new cousin and I'm coming home for his christening later this month. In my family it's tradition for the godmother to buy the christening outfit, so we're going to look probably the Friday before his christening on Sunday. We don't have a lot of time, bascially ahve to find something in one day, so does anyone have any tips on where's a good place to look in Suffolk so we don't spend half the day looking for a store?
Thank you!!!

Re: Suffolk Stores for Boys' Christening Outfits?
To be honest, MOST stores have a small selection of boys anything...
Little Dickens is nice, and to be honest the atias flea market had some cute stuff, actually that is where we got my sons...
You gotta really "look" through some things, but several stores have them, and I saw alot of cute stuff! (good prices too!)
Good luck!

a place called the Colony Shop....I think it's in Patchogue, not sure though. My best friends mom sent Aly a dress from there...it was hand smocked and hand embroidered!

Little Dickens is great but high end. Be prepared to spend a lot on the outfit. I got my nephew's there and it was really beautitful. Why not order online? Little Shops of Babies in Smithtown also has them- but a bit higher end price wise.

Thanks everyone!
Princessmaris - I thought about the Flea market, we'll probably look there. And I totally understand about how small the boys selections are! This is my 3rd godson! You'd think I'd have it down to a science by now! I was the last little girl born in my family - we've had nothing buy little boys for 30 years!!!!
And, Michele, do you know of any websites? Most of what I've found online is sooo expensive!

There's a store called Zone4Kids in Lindenhurst/West Babylon. They have a whole wall of christening outfits, boys and girls.

The Colony Shop in Patchogue is great-my girlfrined got her son't christening outfit there. Also, Little Dickens, Ragamuffins in St.James and there's a place in Mt.Sinai called "How Adorable" that has christening stuff too.
