Sugar Cookies
So I made two batches of sugar cookies this week - two different days. When they came out of the oven they were crispy on the outside but chewy on the inside...but a few hours later they were hard all over. Still very tasty but hard - and this was both batches.
I let them cool on a wire rack and then put them on foil in a glad container.
Is there any way to keep them soft and chewy or do sugar cookies naturally harden once they have cooled down a lot?
Thanks

Re: Sugar Cookies
If the recipe calls for soften butter make sure it's soft and not melted it makes a difference. I have made the mistake before.
Hope this helps!!
