There are options for working parents where you don’t have to pay 10k. My son is at camps r us full time and we pay for after care. It’s less than 3500 for the summer. They have before care too. So the hrs. An be 7 or 730-6.
And while the daycares might be cheaper....if I sent my 7 year old to his old daycare camp program he would hate it. As they get older they daycares are boring for them.
$3500 x's 2. Things seem reasonable but when you have multiple kids it adds up.
While understand people might not think 3500 is reasonable for a child and even more when you have to send multiple kids but when you break it down to an hrly price for me it’s 11/hr. And I’m sorry I don’t think you can expect to pay less than that. Just My opinion. I payed more for daycare and they didn’t swim and go on trips all the time.
I've been lucky as I've paid $400 a week for 2 kids in daycare fulltime. So when I'm looking at over $7000 between before and aftercare for 8 weeks and then have to figure out what to do with them for the other 2 weeks, its a lot to me. We don't have disposable income since we will be paying for before and aftercare during the school year along with daycare and school part time- meaning we can't just take the money from one bucket to the other.
