summer flu/virus?
we are in SW Nassau and curious if anyone feels like they've got a flu? my 4yo had it first. 102 temp did not eat a thing for about 24 hrs, said his belly hurt, no vomiting or diarrhea. was fine the next day.
now i feel totally achy all over, freezing cold and exhausted, don't want to eat.
weird viruses these days.

Re: summer flu/virus?
My 5 year old had a fever for a few days (no other symptoms besides being really tired and not hungry), and now has a wicked headcold.

summer flu/virus?
me, DH, and DD (15m) just got over horrible colds. no fevers but very bad congestion, tired, cranky, muscle aches, just very bad feeling. it actually hit DH the hardest. ive NEVER gotten sick in the summer and we were all sick at the same time it was terrible. we are northwest nassau/Queens border but we go to Long Beach at least once a week. (oddly enough my friends Long Beach babies were fine, and one of them shared a sippy with my DD the day she started to be"off" before the real symptoms showed up).

DH had something similar but more with congestion on friday...he was really sick. then DS had bad nasal congestion, no fever this week. DD had nasal congestion and before bed tonight had 102 temp! this is the 2nd time this summer she's been sick and the 2nd time for my DH! have never seen this much sickness in the summer and i really wonder why!

Re: summer flu/virus?
Be careful - thus hit my family in July.. I thought it was just a virus, kids had fevers, DH & I just felt achey and tired. Went to ped for something unrelated and he noticed blisters on the 2yo (which I thought were bug bites until I realized how many had suddenly appeared that morning) and he diagnosed Coxsackie. Lasted a wk in my house.
