Summer Rentals for a week or less with 15 month old?
1- Have you done this? 2- If so,... where? Recommendations? 3- Would you do it again?
I'd like either Montauk, Jersey Shore, New Hampshire... something like that...

We stayed at the Royal Atlantic in Montauk last year and Ds was 10 months. We rented a 2 story condo on the beach and it was FANTASTIC!!!

my concern which may be a silly one about FireIsland with a baby is that you need to rely on the ferry schedules (and they stop running) to get off the island and there aren't any hospitals etc. in the event GOD forbid of an emergency?

I never done a rental, but Ocean City, MD has great condos by the week & its very family oriented (beaches & restaurants, etc.)

Re: Summer Rentals for a week or less with 15 month old?
We did it last summer with Dh's family in Hilton Head- right off the beach with a pool. It was REALLY hot that week so we didn't do much. My DD was 8 months at the time but her cousin was 15 months. We had a blast.

Re: Summer Rentals for a week or less with 15 month old?
I did a house with my son when he was 17 mos old but the Outer Banks in NC (did the drive and all) and it was great. We rented it with 4 other couple and kiddies.
Last year we did LBI, NJ with my inlaws and it was real nice too. My son was almost 2.5 and my niece was 15 mos. We will be going back there again this year and my little one will be 11 mos.

We rent in Ocean City each summer...my father went as a child and has gone ever since...its very family oriented and has a lot for our whole extended family (25+ people) to do!

What about something at Cape Cod - we used to rent condos there for a week every summer growing up.
