How is Katie doing? What did the doctor say about the blood?

Re: Sunny
Thanks for asking! She said not to worry about it unless it happens again. It was such a small amount and it was only that one time. She may have ruptured a blood vessel while spitting up, or it could have come from her nasal passages.

Re: Sunny
There is a huge improvement! She still gets fussy and cries a lot. She is still spitting up and crying while she eats, but she also now has smiley happy periods, before if she wasn't crying it was because she was asleep.

Re: Sunny
Get used to the spitting up. It seems to NEVER go away but it is much more tolerable when you actually have a somewhat happy baby on your hands. We invested in a lot of bibs. On a good day we only use 4-6 bibs but on a bad day we can go through 15-20.

I just bought a another 10 pack of bibs that are so long they go down to her feet!
I would not mind the spit up as long as she is happy!

Re: Sunny
I hate the bib companies. Its like they think newborns/infants have elephant necks or something. Ugggh even with a bib her shirt collars get wet. So aggrevating.
Trust me though when I say it gets better. Eventually you just start to get used to it as a part of life. Burp cloths become part of your wardrobe and you function and get out and about in spite of the spit up. I was going crazy the first 2 months but slowly I am just getting used to it.
I am getting a second opinion from another GI but that's not until March 2nd. Maybe I'll get lucky and she'll be all better by then.
