Sunroom/florida room spin-off - Anyone convert one to an all-year room?
Our house has a sunroom that comes off the living room and looks out on the backyard. We would love to convert the sunroom into an all-year round room to use as a family room/den (we have a new baby boy). This would get all the toys out of the living room and allow us to have a more formal living room.
Has anyone converted a sunroom into an all-year round room that is basicallly a part of the house? Where do I begin and what's a good budget? I still want the room to have lots of windows and a large door to the backyard to take advantage of the view. Thanks!

Yes my mom did. Instead of baseboards she went with radiant heat, the electric ones not the ones with pipes filled with water. She got them at either BJs or Costco. I think it was something like $200 per 4x6 area. I don't know how much she paid the electrician to wire it up for her. You can probably DIY. There are instructions on the box on how to install them. She also hired someone to lay ceramic tiles over them but that can also be Diy if you're looking to save money.
