Suprise BFP *Real Update*
6/8 Update: Bloodwork done. HCG:2001
Prog: 9.9 I start supplements tonight. Dr. said I need to have sono on Monday! I'm freaking out. Number seems high but good ol' Google says that this could mean I'im further along that we thought. I'm cautiously optimistic.
***Small Update: GREAT ADVICE LADIES! Thank you so much. Called the RE and I'm going for bloodwork tomorrow morning.

It's really up to you if you want to go back to the Re. If you do go they will probably do 2 betas and then an ultrasound the following week. The beta numbers may give you some clue how far along you are but you probably have to wait for sono to be sure. I had an appointment with a new Re when I got a surprise positive. I called to see if I should cancel and they told me no to come in and they would do bloidwork and release me when everything looked good. Congrats!

Congrats! That is great news! For me, I would call my RE. Like the pp said, they will do your beta's and also check your progesterone level. If its low they will give you supplements. If the ob is not doing any blood work then they won't be checking for that. Good luck!!!

I agree, the first thing I would do is call my RE. They would do more monitoring than the ob. Congrats!!!!

ITA. I went to my RE right after getting BFP on my own and they ran betas and I was seen on a weekly basis and monitored until 8w. It was great to have reassurance weeks before I would've seen my OB. Good luck!

My LMP was 5/1 as well, and we had gone to see an RE for prelim testing as well. When I got my BFP last week I called my obgyn and they said since the re didnt do a procedure on me that I should see them. I have my first appt on Saturday with the obgyn. I kind of wish I had called the re though....I would have been monitored more closely…..oh well!! Good luck and let us

i would def call the RE, you will be more closely monitored, and from what you stated before, if this was such a long journey, especially with a loss in your past as well, i wouldn't be taking any chances

ITA with this, because of your previous loss I would want to be monitored as closely as possible.
