"Surface Cleaning" your DC's toys?

A lot of DD's toys (especially the plush ones) say to "surface clean only"--how do you do that and what do you use?

Is it horrible that I'm asking this at 3 1/2 months! Chat Icon

I throw most toys in the wash..anything furry. I don't put them in the dryer though.

I'm a bad mommy. I only cleaned the teethers before I gave them to him. Oh, and ONE toy that he spit up on when he was a newbornChat Icon

Stuffed animals or blakies go in the washing machine, most other things (anything plastic) don't really get cleaned.

Plush can go in washer- just take out the mechanical parts- they usually just zip out. I do plastic toys in the dish washer- even the exersaucer toys.

i put all the stuffed animals in a pillowcase and put it in the washing machine-except ones w/mechanical parts.
Then i put them outside to dry when it was hot & sunny. They came out great!

Anything that can go in the washing machine- goes in...

All hard toys I wipe down with colorox anywhere spray...

When he was younger (and was putting everything in his mouth) I wiped them down w/ warm water

I use wipes on plastic and throw the plush toys in the washing machine (not dryer).
