SUV access to 3rd row with 2 car seats
Right now I have the pathfinder but my lease is up and I would like to get another SUV with a 3rd row. My pathfinder has a feature that you can get access to the 3rd row by pushing the 2nd row seat forward while the car seat is still in the 2nd row seat. There is a latch that reclines the entire seat forward. We are looking at the explorer and the Acadia but it seems like you can only really access the 3rd row (if you have car seats behind the driver and passenger) if you get captians chairs. Does anyone know if that's correct or if you can still push the 2nd row seat forward with the car seat on it? Thanks for any input!

We have the Acadia w captain chairs.
You are right about access of 3rd row: we position the chairs in second row for max space & you can only latch 1 car seat in 3rd row. My Preggo self could, however, access the third row decently with the captain chair configuration. You need to take car seat out to fold seat down in second row.
You also need to watch the trunk space. It is small.

I'm not sure about the vehicles you mentioned but did you take a look at the Suburban? My boyfriend has that car and we have three kids between the two of us and it is great -- plenty of room, third row, plus tons of trunk space. It's also super reliable and a great ride. I never thought I would like it as much as I do.

I'm getting the 2016 Traverse. The second row is captain chairs so you can walk through it to the backseat.

it seems most SUVs with a second row as a bench (vs captains chairs) does not allow for easy access to the third row (my explorer, which is old, you have to take out one car seat in order to fold down the 2nd row).
I would look into an SUV with 2nd row captains chairs
I have heard good things about the Honda Pilot (captains chairs for the second row are a new feature on their 2016 models).
I personally am considering the Chevy Tahoe. The Subrurban is great, but for me its a bit too large

I have the Traverse and we also have captains seats in the 2nd row. Makes it much easier to get to the 3rd row (my oldest DD sits in the 3rd row.

The Infiniti QX60 has that option. I have the JX35 (same model, they changed the name). I can slide the second row forward with the car seat still in it and access the third row.

I have the durango. Capt chairs in 2nd row and a walk through between the two to the third row. Love my truck

We have the explorer and thats correct, you can only access the 3rd row with carseats installed if you get the captains chairs. We have them and LOVE that truck so much!

I have the explorer with the bench - I have 3 car seats along the bench - if we use the third row I have the kids just climb over the back or if it is an adult we just access one seat up and the other folded it works. Also if I have guests for a while - I put the rear facing seats in the back and load them from the tailgate
