Swimming Pools?
Are public or private swimming pools a "no no" for us? I remember hearing somewhere that bacteria in the water can travel up into the vagina? Or is it only after a certain week that we cant go in the pool?

Swimming Pools?
I've heard that swimming is an amazing exercise when pregnant! I'm going on vacation next week and plan on going in the pool! I think hot tubs are a no no bc of the heat and also there's more bacteria when it's super hot but I think a pool is fine with all the chlorine!

Swimming Pools?
Hot tubs are a no. Swimming pools are fine as long as your water hasn't broken.

Re: Swimming Pools?
omg the pool was my only saving grace at the end.. It helped my swelling and I was able to float on my belly on one of those spring floats with the mesh center.
It was amazing.
Chlorine kills anything.

Swimming Pools?
I was told not to swim in my first trimester after IVF while on Crinone. After that it was fine, but it was cold by then.

Re: Swimming Pools?
Swimming is fine when you're at any stage of pregnancy. Your cervix is nice and closed, nothing's getting up there to where the baby is. They might not recommend it your first 6 weeks after you have your baby, though, in case your cervix is still open (You wouldn't really want to then anyway…).
