Swing or FP Rock Sleeper
Do I need to have both? I am a bit confused, it seems like i would get more use out of the swing then the sleeper. I already have a bassinet for my room. I think im skipping the bouncer and doing just the swing but im not sure if i should also get the sleeper. Thanks.

Re: Swing or FP Rock Sleeper
The rock and play sleeper would take the place of the bassinet, not the swing. The swing's rocking motion will help a lot when the baby is fussy. And honestly, I would skip the bassinet (unless it's a family heirloom) b/c from what I have seen and experienced, babies like sleeping in the rock and play sleeper because they are slightly elevated and snug in there, unlike in a bassinet.

this is what we are doing. Also the rock and play is great for traveling to grandmas or friends houses.

this plus you can take the rock and play with you easily because it folds

Re: Swing or FP Rock Sleeper
DD hates the bassinet. I tried so hard to get her to like it, but no luck. I kept hearing such good reviews about the rock n play so I went and bought it. She loves it. Now what to do with a brand new bassinet?!

Re: Swing or FP Rock Sleeper
the rock and play sleeper has good portability. from what i hear its a good investment to bring with you places.
the swing is different, rock and play is rocked manually as oppose to battery or plug in swing.
i originally wasnt gonna get a bouncy seat but was convinced to by BTDT moms because they said it was useful for feedings and just somewhere to put the baby down

Re: Swing or FP Rock Sleeper
we loved and couldnt live without both!
DS slept in the swing for the first 5 weeks and napped in it from time to time until 4-5 months! when he was sick up until 6 months, he would sleep in it!
we used the FP Rock and Play sleeper everyday until 8 months! he would hang out in it and watch TV while we got ready in the AM. it was also AWESOME to bring to other peoples homes when he was little since it folded up! if we were going out to a family party, we would put him to sleep in that and then hang out. it was awesome!

Re: Swing or FP Rock Sleeper
Ditto on the Sleeper....
Also just wanted to say we're sooooo glad we got the bouncer. She lived in that the first few weeks and still uses it a lot at 5 months. We didnt really use the swing until about she was about a month old (she was too small for it.)
