Switching back formula

Anyone ever have to change from Similac Advance to Alimentum and then switch back to advance again after a few months or something similar?

At my last ped appt he mentioned that maybe next month we try going back to similac advance and come off the alimentum. He was put on alimentum bc he stopped having bowel movements for almost two months on his own. Once I switched he started going on his own.

Being as he had no allergies, blood in stool, etc he said it was worth a try to switch back. I'm not sure how I feel about that....

any similar stories that were successes? failures? Not sure what to do....

That's great, I hope he does well on it! We started this around 9.5 months. One ounce in the morning bottle, then 2, then 3, etc. Then I just started putting it in their afternoon bottle and night bottle little by little. They were fine with it. Good luck! Chat Icon

Well if it does, then at least you know what is causing it...and maybe you can try again in another month. I bet he'll be fine. Chat Icon And if he's not the girls will come over and give him a pep talk! Chat Icon
