I had it for about 2 weeks (from 13-15 weeks). It said in What to Expect...that its normal. Also bleeding gums when you brush. Due to increase in hormones.

My gums were sooo sensitive when I was preggo-they would bleed if I brushed too hard.

yes - both pregnancies!

When they swell up, I try to breathe through my nose as much as possible - that helps keep them moist

You preggo ladies need to go for cleanings at your dentists. It is very important!!!

Go for a cleaning!! If your BP is within normal limits you can do warm salt water rinses regularly to help with the swelling. If you were my patient I would be seeing you every trimester of your pregnancy.
