Swollen puffy eyes as a side effect of MMR?
Does anyone know f this is a side effect? His fever went down yesterday and was relieved, but his eyes were looking puffy
This morning they were so puffy and "glued" together he couldn't open them
DH and I had to get them open after washing them
Its amost like pink eye, but the whites aren't pink
its too early to call the doctor
He looks like he has been punched in both eyes
Is this common?

Whats roseola????
It's a virus that causes a spiked fever. Then after the fever breaks the child developes a rash. It's usually not much of an issue unless your child doesnt handle the fever well.
Im only thinking Roseola b/c he was running the high fever and now he's woken up with the puffy eyelids.
Maybe it happening after the MMR is only a coincidence?
Google Roseola Infantum.

My DS had pink eye, and his symptoms were JUST like that. Whites of his eyes weren't pink, but his eyes were so swollen and glued together when he would wake up. Doctor said pink eye and prescribed anitbiotics and that took care of it.
