Symptoms of PCOS
Everytime I go to a RE they said "we don't think you have PCOS but, you might have symptoms" wth does that mean? Does that mean its not severe enough to affect me? Or it's not something that will make or break me getting pregnant?

Re: Symptoms of PCOS
I was diagnosed and had NO symptoms at all...regular periods like clockwork, no abnormal pain etc. I am overweight but I have always struggled with that issue. Found out I am insulin resistant and my LH is on the high side but not totally out of whack,
Not sure about how this will affect getting preggers...only had 1 chemical but i am 40 so my luck is no more than 5% chance in getting pg anyway.
I've cut back on my sugar and carbs and since I just started I dont have any clue if it will help. All the research says..it cant hurt!

Re: Symptoms of PCOS
What symptoms do you have? Do you have multiple cysts on your ovaries or LH:FSH ratio greater than 3:1...

Re: Symptoms of PCOS
The doctor diagnosed me with PCOS because I had irregular cycles and through blood work (I don't remember what hormone is what but there was definitely an issue there).

Re: Symptoms of PCOS
I have irregular periods but the bloodwork shows everything as normal the only reason they diagnosed me with PCOS was b/c of the "string of pearl" cysts on my ovaries when they do an internal sono.
I tried clomid for a while to get pregnant but was resistant to it and then I went on Metformin for about 6 months before we started actively trying with an RE to get pregnant on my first round of 75 mg of Follistim I got pregnant

Re: Symptoms of PCOS
I was diagnosed at age 19 because of my irregular periods and bloodwork. I'm not sure what they discovered in the blood work at that time, but when I went for bloodwork in September, I was told my LH/FSH level was 5:1 (it's normally supposed to be 3:1), and a few cysts I had.

Re: Symptoms of PCOS
PCOS can make or break you getting pregnant, yes. I'm not symptomatic for PCOS,high hormones, etc. but I have PCOS like ovaries. Been this way since I first had AF. Definitely have it looked into.
