Synergy in Massapequa
Thinking of joining. Anyone have any thoughts to share about this gym?
Mostly wondering if anyone has found long wait times for the treadmills and/or weights?
TIA!

Re: Synergy in Massapequa
I joined when they first opened and I was not a fan. Never felt comfortable there. I currently belong to Big Al's in Amityville and XSport at the mall. Both are great. Lots of machines and awesome classes (particularly Big Al's).

Re: Synergy in Massapequa
Another fan of Big Al's here, as well. I joined a few weeks ago.
I favor going in the AM before work and there are tons of open cardio machines. This morning, I was in the main area and I think it was me and one other person.
The weight machine area is usually completely empty.
I also like the atmosphere overall. It is geared more to people who have "normal" body types, who are looking to lose weight/get back on track.
I also have attended a few spin classes and while I can't do a lot of it yet, both instructors nor the people in the class made me feel like I HAD to keep up.
I haven't used it yet, but they also have childcare/kids classes that are very inexpensive.
I also only have to pay $19.99 a month, can cancel at any time as long as they have 30 days notice and I am constantly getting incentives to have people join so I can get a month free.
I've gone a few times at night and as long as I parked in the lot across the street, I've been okay with parking and while it's a little busier, they are always free machines.
