Take 2-- Our vacay idea this summer...
So, we have been researching to death what the hell to do for a vacay this summer. So while this isn't an entirely new concept-- I still wanted to post in case anyone was having the same difficutly.
The problem was all the places we were interested in, seemed too much $$ with how old Sash will be-- and we still wanted to make sure we could get babysitters so we could go out and have fun at night, and then also have adult stuff during the day like spas, etc. Nothing seemed like the right fit.
So I said to DH-- why don't we just stay home, you take 2 weeks off and we pretend we are on vacay? We'll research things to do within driving distance, get sitters every night-- try restaurants we've been wanting to but never get the chance, see a show or a concert, go to the local spas, etc.-- all without having to pack, find a new sitter we don't know OR spending money on a hotel. Of course we'll still spend money-- but because we are on "vacation", we don't have to feel guilty about it!
We'll still go to Sesame for a weekend or something, but-- I am actually really looking forward to this!!
