Take and Toss Sippy Cups

Does anyone else's DC prefer these sippy cups? Thomas has taken best to these, but I feel the need to keep trying others because I guess I feel like these aren't "real" sippy cups (if that makes sense...) because there isn't a valve and they aren't really spill-proof. He can't get anything out of the valve type cups... I don't know if I should keep trying, or stick with the Take and Toss.

Any advice would be most appreciated! Thanks!

I used them on vacations, etc but I still rather the "permanent" kinds. DS would chew on the mouth piece and it would leak terribly.

Re: Take and Toss Sippy Cups

My DS used the straw type sippy cups by Nuby, but they were never truely spill proof either and they were hard to clean. I felt like no matter what I did I didn't think I was getting all the nooks and cranies clean enough. At about 18 mos I switched over to the take and toss straw sippy cups. They are pretty good spill wise, plus he is old enough now he knows to put the cup down upright (usually) plus I don't feel bad about throwing them out and getting new ones becasue a 6 pack (or whatever it is) costs less than 1 of the other sippy cups. I think there really is no right or wrong....its just whatever works for you and your DC, but I do like the take and toss cups.

So funny! I tried just about every kind with my older DD and these were the only ones she drank from. I felt the same way you do...but what could I do? I just went with it and used them. Now with my almost 1 year old, I've tried a couple of different kinds. She seems to have taken to the Gerber ones, but I find her constantly drinking from her sister's Take and Toss ones!!

Re: Take and Toss Sippy Cups

Emma drinks from both types and I give her both, but I prefer the Take and Toss since they are easier to clean with no valve! I don't give them to her unless she is seated in her chair though so the leaking doesn't bother me.

We use them all the time, no other cups really. I hate those stupid valves.

I also just throw them out when they get chewed or gross.

Re: Take and Toss Sippy Cups

The take and toss is all we have ever used and we haven't had any problems.

I keep a few at my moms, a few in the car etc.

I love always having them on hand - and if they get gross I don't care - out they go!

We use them 95% of the time..I dont find they leak that bad. I use the small 5 oz ones and they really hardly leak if at all.

Re: Take and Toss Sippy Cups

Addie loves them. Most of our sippy cups are the Take 'n Toss ones. We have the Nuby straw ones, and also some Playtex Insulator and Avent Magicups, but Take & Toss are the ones she likes best. I just toss them after a few weeks because they get gross, but they aren't really meant for long term use anyway.

That's all we use here now. Love them. I don't travel with them though, just used at home.

Re: Take and Toss Sippy Cups

Those are the only ones my DD will use too. So we just keep using them until they get yucky and get new ones.

Plastics really shouldn't be used once they get beat up- BPA free or not. So I feel safer using these anyway.

Same here too. DD loves them. I don't fight it. I just keep replacing them.
