Taking Care of a Newborn Class- Are you ladies enrolling?
I just found one at St Vincents for $75 for DH and me. I feel like we should take one....has anyone gone to one? do you plan on going?
Thanks Jen

we took one a few weeks ago, it was good just to hear everything that they had to say and suggest - esp for my dh who doesnt have much experience with babies at all.

Re: Taking Care of a Newborn Class- Are you ladies enrolling?
Nah...I'm a second-time mom, but I still wouldn't take one if I was a first timer. I was the oldest and I did a ton of babysitting as a teen so I never really worried. Even though there were things I wouldn't have known just from babysitting and being a big sister, so much of it just came to me. Within a couple days, I knew her hungry cry from her dirty diaper cry and when she was just exercising her lungs.

Re: Taking Care of a Newborn Class- Are you ladies enrolling?
I'm not, b/c this is my 2nd, but I also didnt with my daughter. After she was born, during the hospital stay, they had baby care sessions in the nursery every day (only like an hour each) and it didnt cost anything. I went to only one, but it was pretty good (each class focused on different things). I think I went to the bathing one....

Re: Taking Care of a Newborn Class- Are you ladies enrolling?
I am taking the free classes at BRU for now -- if I find them useful and I want more info I will sign up at my hospital later in the pregnancy. But, my sister is an RN, and my SIL is a PA - previously RN and midwife, so I am not too concerned...
The classes at NSUH are so expensive, I was surprised.
