Talk about.. Pop Culture.
Noah wants to be Robert Pattinson for Halloween. No, I don't mean Edward Cullen - he doesn't know who that is. He wants to be Robert Pattinson. Because girls think he's cute. Where he got this information at 7.. I'm afraid to ask.
So as I am trying to decide how to persuade him to be a fireman, or a cowboy or maybe how I can squeeze one more year of superhero love out of him.. Robbie decides to tell me what he wants to be.
I expected him to want to be a monster of some sort - Freddy or Jason. Some excuse to wield a giant weapon or have gaping fake wounds on his person.
I was wrong. The actuality was much worse.
Robbie wants to be The Situation.
I am still  at how they even really know these people.. but I'm beginning to wonder if Rob as a SAHD was not as fabulous as I was thinking it was...

My DS is completely the opposite... His friends tease him because he doesn't know who anyone is, pop-culture wise!

I think you hear their names often enough in passing, it seeps into everyone's head. I couldn't believe me DH knew who the situation was a few months ago. I hate that I know. Friends with older siblings could be a source whether the friend as the younger kid is allowed to watch age inappropriate stuff sometimes or he or she overhears sibs (or parents) talking about it.
Without wanting to grill him over the coals, I'd want to know how he saw it. Was he over a friends and they were watching it there (other family) or even on the computer. But it really could be that people are talking - isnt there an actual situation costume out there ( I'm not capitalizing the s on purpose bc then it means I know him too and know its someone's name. I hate that I know that.
Maybe DH already purchased the costume for himself and a snooki one for you. Of course then Robbie might have to be Pauly LOL

Robbie mystery solved.
My sister watched this youtube video with him:The Situation
He wants to go shirtless, show off his 'abs' and paste hair under his arms. He's trying to get Noah to be a baseball player. But Noah still wants to be Robert Pattinson. I still don't know where THAT came from.
ETA: NEITHER of these scenarios will happen this year. I've just got to come up with something more compelling for them!
