Talk to me about Uggs... fit/sizing and exchanges.
So I finally got my first pair of Uggs for Christmas, from my mom! Love them!
Pre DS... I was a size 8. Post DS... not (haven't done much shoe shopping so not sure if I'm an 8.5 or 9). My mom got me a 9 which are comfy, but there's almost an inch in front of my toe (no socks) and when I walk, I do feel a slight clown shoe clonky step. The website says they should fit snug, which I think I can say the 9 does not. Do they stretch a lot?
I'd like to try on an 8.5 and even an 8.
She bought them in NYC. I'm on LI. Is there a store on LI that sells Uggs and will make a size even exchange? I'm sure my mom has a receipt but not sure if it was an Uggs store. She's away now.
This is the pair I have...
I'm dying to where them outside but not if I'm going to exchange them.

Crashing.... but I found this from a search...
You should definitely exchange them for a smaller size. As you wear the boots the lining will crush down and give you more room. If you keep the ones you have they'll become practically unwearable.
ETD: They only come in whole sizes. I wear a 7.5-8 shoe, but a 7 in my all of my Uggs.

The rule of thumb with uggs is to buy them one size smaller than what you wear. So if you're a 9 - definitely get an 8. They break in in no time!

Cool thanks. The website did show half sizes though. I'll have to call around to check. Thanks! I'll hold off on wearing them.

Definitely get an 8. I wear an 8.5 and when DH bought me my first pair of uggs 3 years ago he bought a 9 and they are the most uncomfortable shoes I have. My foot slides around and my feet actually hurt after a while in them. I still wear them but not often. My slippers and waterproof boots are an 8 and fit perfect. I actually just ordered another pair and am waiting for them.
