Try putting a ticking alarm clock near the bed (to simulate mom's heartbeat) and a hot-water bottle in with the puppy to sleep with to keep him warm....worked for our dog.

Thanks! I heard about the clock - but not the warm bottle. Keep the tips coming please!!! I have never had a puppy and DH never had one so small before!
