Target or Walmart? UPDATED.... I went to TRU

If you had to buy an item (in this example.. a pool) that "may" require returning if there is an "issue" and deal with Customer Service.

Would you pick Target or Walmart?

****************

I wanted an inflatable pool. I was asking about customer service. Not "quality". Quality is the same, it's the same pool.

I ended up at Toys R Us. I actually found it cheaper there and I even got a warranty (which I usually would never get!!) totalling less than the other stores were charging for just the pool.

Now I am not worried about customer service because of the added warranty.

Thanks everyone!!!!

Re: Target or Walmart?

Im not all too familiar with either of their return policies but it would take A LOT to get me to step foot in a Wal-mart and deal with that aggravation.

Re: Target or Walmart?

I will shop ANYWHERE before I will shop in Walmart.

I am IO to Walmart, so Target wins by default.

Walmart!!

We had some issue (I can't remember what it was) with a pool and the manufacturer was willing to replace and Walmart was able to get us a copy of the receipt from the previous season!

And we ended up with a larger pool from the manufacturer.

Walmart. Never had a problem with returning anything to them ever. I've heard that Target's return policy has been tricky lately.

Re: Target or Walmart?

I would never step foot in a Walmart, so it would have to be Target. Walmarts policies all around are deplorable.

Unless of course I was in the middle of West Bubbafuk & there was no other stores anywhere in a 300 mile radius.

BTW-

I would totally get flamed & all sorts of drama would start if I told you what I really thought of WalMart.

Re: Target or Walmart?

I have returned things at both stores and never had a problem- sometimes I think Target has better quality- but Walmart has better prices

I would honestly pick whichever had the better price/better quality for the money

Me too. I've returned things to both stores and Walmart by far was the easiest to deal with.

Re: Target or Walmart?

I LOVE Target and always shop there but for returns they are annoying. Walmart is easier to return at. Target has a strict policy!
