Tax Grievance question
So I found out that our assessment went down due to grievance. They said we won't know the amount until October when I guess the county releases them, but we do know the assessed value went from 937 to 735. Does anyone know what this means? Its not the number value of the house. Also - how will this work since I pay my taxes through my mortgage. Will the payments go down? Clueless to this :) Thanks!!!

Re: Tax Grievance question
You won't know the dollar amount you are saving because tax rates are not released yet. School tax rates in Nassau come out on or about October 1. The general rate will come out on or about January 1.
Nassau County recently released a "school tax estimator"
NC school tax estimator
Plug in your school district and the new assessment of $735.
Assessment X tax rate = amount of taxes
