Taylor in Trouble
American Idol champ Taylor Hicks' debut CD is such a bomb that the Associated Press just wrote this article about its disappointing sales.
While Chris Daughtry, who didn't win the competition last year, enjoys chart success - his album is currently #2 and has sold over a million records - Taylor's album is at #136 this week and has only sold 640,000 copies.
Geoff Mayfield, a senior analyst at Billboard, said he's got "a strong suspicion that (Hicks) might be the first winner who falls shy of a 1 million units."
Sad.
What happened to all the fans that voted for him????

He only won because people were trying to vote a bomb the winner. The same people that voted for Scott Savol voted for Taylor.

I agree with Tracy - where's the promotion for his album? No radio shows, no TV promos, nothing...at least I haven't seen them. I didn't even know his album was out.
Also - what kind of music is it? I have no idea...
After winning AI, he kind of fell off the face of the earth, meanwhile McPhee & Daughtry are all over the place.

Wasn't his album produced by some company other than 19 whatever it is that produces all the Idol winners? If that's the case I bet he's kicking himself now. He'll be back to the bar scene in no time.

Yes the company that produced his album bought out his contract with 19. This is the first finalist (I think) that was allowed to do this while they were still the reigning American Idol.

He was awesome and still is. Very unique and has a great voice.

he did the talk show circuit. he's going to appear at westbury and i believe its sold out
