A kindle!!!
We got a basket of mints in the lounge from our PTA-oh and a banner above the door thanking us for our hard work. My principal however, catered in lunch for the entire school and staff yesterday She's great!

Re: Teacher Appreciation week
I love teacher appreciation week, everyday we have something. Monday my class brought in flowers, Tuesday our principal had lunch for us, Wednesday my class made me a fruit basket, Thursday my class brought in homemade cards, and some sent in gift cards too and tomorrow the PTO is having a luncheon for us!!

Re: Teacher Appreciation week
My principal had lunch catered for us yesterday. He knows his staff, lol - of everything he could get us, we are made happiest by free food.

Re: Teacher Appreciation week
The Pa actually catered a lunch for us and gave each teacher a Starbucks gift card....not bad for the Bronx!

Re: Teacher Appreciation week
My school "somewhat" recognized it. We got a notepad and pen. A lunch sounds soo nice though!

I think they are doing a breakfast on the last day of school (conference day due to the snow days).

OMG Rachel, WHERE do you teach? Holy cow, I thought my parents loved to show off their money!
We got a breakfast, tote bag (I think it's really meant to hold a laptop) with the school logo on it, and a $10 gift card to Dunkin Donuts from the parents. The parents also organize this thing where kids write stuff about their teachers on little cutout apples and they're displayed all over the school. One of my students gave me a fake flower .
The thing that I love most, though, is the Teacher Appreciation Assembly. Our principal hands out a pin that you put on your lanyard, for every 5 years you've been there. I get my first pin next year and I'm SO excited! The teacher of the year also gets recognized (we had a breakfast for her at the end of the week).

We got nothing! Nothing from the PTA or administration. I'm actually kind of upset about it.

Seriously, this board was the first I heard of it in any way, shape or form Does that answer the question?
