Teacher Appreciation Week at daycare..need gift ideas
The director of our daycare sent out a letter indicating it was Teacher Appreciation Week the week of 5/5. I always try to do little things for her teachers (candy at Valentine's Day, Christmas, Easter, etc.). There is three of them to get something for. I wanted to do something creative/nice...
For the teachers out there, what would you appreciate getting? I was thinking of a GC to like Starbucks or maybe for one of the local restaurants in the area (so they could get lunch, etc.). Would you prefer that over a gift basket, etc.? I hate giving personal items like fragrances, etc. because you never know what anyone's preferences are.

I would definitely appreciate gift cards...Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, anything that is in the area...I have also had parents order in lunch myself and my teaching assistants, which we loved (that was an end of the year gift)...

Giftcards I would think are awesome. That or cash honestly..I know that is what I'd like to receive!
I think those general amex or visa gift cards are terrific, they can buy whatever they want with those...

I was a day care teacher and the best gifts were gift cards.
Also, sometimes parents would bring in breakfast (bagels, pasteries, etc) or have lunch delivered (pizza).
It was the thought behind it all that counted.
