TEACHERS - writing a discipline plan

I'm on assignment 13 of 15 for my on-line in-service class, and we have to write a pro-active discipline plan. I thought I knew what that was - but have already sent those items in as prior assignments. Isn't a discipline plan just

~ classroom rules & procedures
~ rewards
~ consequences

All of those pieces were separate assignments already!

Is it just a matter of putting everything together?? Is there something else I am forgetting??

Thanks!!

I think you're right- that you have all the pieces. If you were going to add anything, maybe you'd address how the rules/expectations will be conveyed to the students.

For example, will they have any say in developing rules and consequences? I personally believe in a dictatorial classroom Chat Icon but some professors LOVE to hear that you're being "democratic" and letting the kids participate in the process of rule development.

Also, maybe think of a few lessons/activities/role play things that you might use to address the parts of the plan? Again, maybe not something you'd really do, but instructors like to see stuff like that and maybe you will think of something to use in the fall (kids do get a kick out of role playing)

thanks for the ideas! I think I just need to pull everything together and then add the actual procedures to it.

Re: TEACHERS - writing a discipline plan

It sounds like you have submitted the pieces and now they want the entire plan submitted as one?

ETA: In my school, our discipline plan is

1. Rules/Expectations
2. Rewards
3. Consequences
