Teachers or ladies who stand a lot at work....

what kind of shoes do you wear? I'm almost 27 weeks and my feet and ankles have been KILLING me! I try to sit as often as I can and even sit on the edge of my desk to make it easier, but there's only so much sitting I can do!

I've noticed over the past couple of days that my ankles are starting to slightly swell by the time I get home and when I wake up my feet/ankles hurt as much as they did when I went to bed :(

I wear flats and so far I've been ok. Sometimes I wear ankle books and those are fine too. I work heels that other day and won't be doing that again anytime soon.

I've been wearing my Uggs, which to me are the most comfortable things in the world, but have still experienced this pain :( I wish I could wear flip flops! lol

At 32 weeks I am still wearing heels (2-3x a week). I wear flats the other days. I sit as much as I can. I have a chair with wheels so I sometimes scoot around the classroom or sit on an empty desk.

I am a teacher and have been wearing black skecher sneakers. They tend to blend in very well with my pants, especially since all my pants nowadays are black.

i'm pretty much in sneakers every day. if not, flats with gel supports. the sneakers are the best although my back is still killing me at the end of the day, and the gel supports help a little. by the end of the day my feet are on fire and i sit immediately and put my feet up the second i get home...

When I was teaching and I was pregnant I starting wearing sneakers every day. It was the only thing that was comfortable. Nobody said anything and even if they did.......too bad!!!.........I had to do what was necessary to get through the day.

I wear the ugliest pair of black slip ons with treads on the bottom. I even apologized to my students on my awful shoes - but they are comfy.

I don't really know if you would be able to wear sneakers....but I work at a hospital and wear Shape Ups.....they are AMAZING!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon It is like walking on a cloud....

The only thing you have to take into account is that I am only 15 weeks....however, I am a larger girl overall Chat Icon and am probably bigger than most of you are pregnant!! Chat Icon lucky me!! Chat Icon

If you can't wear sneakers....you should buy nursing stockings (sometimes called teds)....they are really tight but promote circulation and help prevent swelling. They are usually white, but i'm sure if you search, you might be able to find them in other colors!

Good luck!
