Re: team green ladies
I wantt o do a half wall of white w/ a chair rail and the bottom half gender color. So we will paint the top and after baby comes, DH will paint bottom either navy blue or light pink. So obv the room will not be done before baby comes. Im fine w/ that.

omg i was thinking of doing a 2 tone and doing half in a gender specific color too! but DH thought i was nuts for wanting to have him paint after the baby comes. now i can tell him someone else has the same idea!

Here is somewhat of a pic of the nursery..It's DS' for now and Baby will be going in there as DS moves into a big boy room.
We did the top a "cream" color, then the teddy bear border all around, with the green on the bottom.

Re: team green ladies
We aren't painting ... the room is currently BM Philipsburg Blue but we are adding white wainscotting.
I figure I'm a girl and my favorite color is blue so it doesn't really matter!!

Re: team green ladies
Well we don't have an official nursery room in our house right now. We're looking to move in the next year....but what I would do is wainscoat and a beige or seafoam color on top.

Re: team green ladies
Haven't started yet but I'm thinking multiple colors either top and bottom chair rail or stripes or other paint treatment using neutral creams, tans, browns.

Re: team green ladies
Lavendar and yellow ( pale, light ) In the middle we are doing white molding. My inspiration of colors came from the arboretum. They just did a new room there and the colors are amazing together!

Re: team green ladies
I too am going to finish the nursery once the baby is here. I got a bedding set for a DD and have my eye on one for a DS. Both have brown in them so my plan is to do brown on the bottom of the wall and then paint the top once the baby is here. I might get antsy and just do brown on the bottom with beige on the top. I have a white chair rail in the middle. My first priority is going to be getting DD's big girl room done so I can move her out of the nursery first without her feeling ejected.
