Teenagers
Anyone know of any teenage support groups? Near Seaford? Trying to help a teenager who is being bullied something awful.
Thanks!

Re: Teenagers
Ugh, that's the worst.
Try local churches, the school (they can be liable so they should have resources in place) and also look into getting help by finding activities for them to get involved in. A place they can feel secure.

Re: Teenagers
Thank you. I think that she is getting really depressed and she already goes to counseling. I just think she needs to find some better teen friends. Maybe some kids who have been there.

Re: Teenagers
Poor thing, girls especially can be so cruel. If she can get involved with something else: a part time job, church youth groups, volunteering, anything to give her a sense of belonging. It might not stop the bullying but it will help her have the self-esteem to deal with it.

Re: Teenagers
Her guidance counselor should be a great resource. They could be someone to talk to, could set her up with outside agencies, or maybe they even run group sessions and activities where she might meet new people.
She is in school a big chunk of the day, it's a good thing to let the school know what's going on.

Re: Teenagers
Unfortunately the school does not seem to care. My niece (the victim) is not perfect, but what is happening to her is so upsetting and that noone at the school cares is worse. She has had her clothes glued, terrible rumors flying, and she has been excluded from activities yet texted al night with minute to minute updates of what she is missing.

Re: Teenagers
If ANY of this is happening on school grounds, during school hours or not, please, please, please find someone to listen to you. The school can be held liable for not providing a safe environment for learning. If you have to remind someone of that then feel free to
NYS bullying
On the upside, which is so sad, school is almost out and sooner or later it will be someone's turn to be the victim. My son was tormented his freshman year. I feel your pain.

Re: Teenagers
Her shirt was glued during art class, and thank God it did not get in her hair.
