Teeth Hurting in 2 1/2 year old...

Teeth Hurting in 2 1/2 year old...
My DS just started for the past week with his hands in his mouth CONSTANTLY. He's like a baby again. And he says that his teeth hurt, but I don't know if that's b/c I asked him if he does or what. Anyway, last night he was screaming before bed that he needed Motrin because his teeth hurt, so I gave it to him and one of his baby teething rings and he went to town on it and went right to sleep.
I counted his teeth and he has all 20. Shouldn't his molars be all the way in by now? I know they have all cut through the gum at least. Would they still be hurting? Do I need to be worried about it being something else? I have had to give him Motrin almost every night for 2 weeks straight....

DS has been crying on and off too at night waking up and shoveling his hands in his mouth.
He has 20 teeth too and they are fully out.

It's so weird. What else could it be? I'm so worried that he has cavities or something....
Should I take him to the ped? Or just continue to wait it out?
