teething and shoving everything in sight in mouth

so my ds, is 8 months, and shoves everything in his mouth his socks, his pacifier, his bibs and all his toys if there is nothing around he will stick his whole fist. Its driving me nuts, when does this behavior stop, he just got his 2 front bottom teeth 2 weeks ago, and i felt around his mouth and don't feel any more teeth braking in. I don't feel that other kids the same age are doing it to this extreme and it has been lasting for a while.

i try to keep everything around him clean that he comes in contact with, but am surprised he has not gotten some sort of infection with the rate he is going. Just would like to hear any suggestions??

My dd is 1.5 yrs old and still puts things in her mouth. Nothing really you can do, its a baby thing. I just try and tell her no when its something that shouldnt be put in mouth.. like a stick lol. Her toys i let her, none of her toys are small enough to fit entirly in mouth, I just try and clean them often.

My son is 10 1/2 months and does the same, he eats and shoves everything into his mouth, its crazy....he has 3 bottom teetn in and his 2 top teeth are cutting threw, he also BF more often now too, can' t wait till they come in already (top ones)....

DS is 7 months and sticks everything in his mouth. I was reading something that said they do this because their senses in their mouth are a lot more sensative then their hands. So they use their mouth to get a feel for what is around them.

DS sticks his hands, his feet, his toys, bibs, my hair, my nose, and just about anything he can get his hands on.

He has no teeth yet but has been nawing down a lot on his bottle and soothie
