Tell me about a cleaning person
If you have someone that comes in to clean your house, what exactly do they clean, what rooms, how much do you pay and do you have to tidy up before they come? Also how often do they come and are you home? If not do you let them in and leave?
I’m to point of seriously thinking of hiring someone but I don’t really talk to anyone that has one and my parents never had one so as you can tell I’m a little clueless on everything about it.
Thinking of only having them do kitchEn, living room, dining room and one bathroom maybe the playroom/office

Tell me about a cleaning person
I recently got one. She has been working for my mom for 15 years. She comes every other week- I am usually home (but bc I work from home). I have a 3BR/2BA ranch that she cleans. She does not clean my finished basement. She scrubs bathrooms and kitchen, dusts, wipes, swiffers, vacuums, mops. She will change the sheets on beds too if I ask (depends on day she comes). Takes the garbage out from bathrooms/kitchen. I just make sure there isn't clutter so that she can clean everything. I pay $100 per visit.

Tell me about a cleaning person
I have 2 people that come about once a month (whenever I remember to schedule). It takes them about 3 hours to clean the entire place (1800 sq ft - 3 bed and 3 bath). I don't typically live with clutter (it stresses me out) but I also make sure to straighten before they come (do dishes, get stuff off surfaces, etc) so they don't have to waste their time doing it or cleaning around it. They clean mostly everything - they don't do windows, but they dust all surfaces (including blinds), clean bathrooms and kitchen, mops, etc. They cost $40/hour so it's $120 each visit (3 hours).
My boyfriend pays someone to come every other week and they charge $100 - no matter how long it takes to clean (it's just 1 person). His house is definitely cluttered and he rarely straightens so they just do the best they can to clean around stuff. They straight some things (make beds, etc) but I've noticed that if there are bags of stuff, they don't tend to move stuff around to clean around it. Not sure they even move couches to clean under them. I've told him to get new people b/c they don't clean very well (shower always has mildew that's easy to wipe off with a rag), but it's not my call.

Re: Tell me about a cleaning person
I have the person who was cleaning for our previous owners. We pay $120 every 2 weeks for a 3 bed, 3 bath split. She does not clean the basement.
She comes around 8-9 am and is done by 12-1. Now we are home but we used to always leave a key. I totally trust her in my house.
She cleans all bathrooms & kitchen. Changes sheets, vacuums, dusts, etc. We pick up all toys before she comes and try to tidy as best we can. She folds throw blankets and makes the spaces look so clean. My one pet peeve is she will take any clutter and shove it somewhere. So we end up with rando piles and have to find our stuff but it does look so nice when she’s done. Lol.
We provide all cleaning supplies. She requested a few brands and I just keep them in stock.
