Tell me about going to Aruba with kids
It seems like a pretty popular family vacation place. Anything you can tell me about it would be great.... hotels? things to do?
I really appreciate it

Re: Tell me about going to Aruba with kids
beach, pool, beach, pool, beach - thats pretty much what we did with the kids
butterfly farm was fun
ostrich farm - you can feed them, and sit on them (it didn't thrill me)

Re: Tell me about going to Aruba with kids
My In-Laws have a timeshare and get us one every year. I've been going with them for the last three years and Feb will be the first time Mason will be going with us... he'll be 9 months.
It's all about the beach and pool as the above poster said. Depending on the kids ages there are some tours like the lighthouse, boat trips, etc. If your child is young I'd suggest renting a timeshare from someone so you have a kitchen. It'll be easy for us since we'll have a one bedroom and bring a pac-n-play so Mason can sleep in the den and we won't have to go out and eat every night since we have the kitchen... we'll bring food to sit on the beach too. Have fun! I love Aruba!

Marriott, Westin, Hyatt, etc... all the hotels are in the same area and there's a lot to do over there as well. I think it's the best part of the island.

We stayed at the Divi Dutch Village which connected to the Tamarind and Divi Village (3 resorts in one). They have activites set up for everyday, it is located right on the beach and you can do the all inclusive or have a kitchen in your room. We exchanged our timeshare to stay there for our honeymoon. We didn't have kids at the time though. I went when I was 12 with my parents and we stayed at the Cabana which I remember being very nice also.

Re: Tell me about going to Aruba with kids
Love Aruba for kids. We stayed at the pool and the beach all day. That kept DD occupied. we took walks, looked for shells, etc. We stayed at the Westin which I would NOT recommend and then the Marriott which we really liked. Very family friendly. Before DD we stayed at the Radisson and loved it. Next time I want to stay at the Hyatt. Most of the restuarants are child friendly too.
