Moms of kids older then 4...please tell me this is not true...
I heard that the three's are worst then the terrible twos....I don't know if I can take that. The tantrums my son can throw are unbelievable and I am trying everything...time outs don't even work anymore. He threw one this morning after he asked for pancakes and I said Okay let me make it and he got crazy because that took too long. We just had our third breakdown today...I can't imagine this getting worse when they are three.....would love to hear your experiences.
He's 2 1/2.

I dont have a 4 year old but my niece was a terrible 2-er. She was just such a terror and so hard to keep up with.
Then just before she turned 3 she had an awaking She just transformed into such a lovely little girl. So helpful and friendly. Even her nursery school teacher noticed the difference.
SO there is hope!

All kids are different, my son did not go through the terrible twos at all, and in general, he is a real pleasure. It depends on the kid.

My DD is 3 years and almost 4 mos. In my experience, YES!!!
She was no prize at two, but didn't throw tons of tantrums. Right around her 3rd birthday all hell broke loose--I would say the average is 4 tantrums a week. In fact, just this morning, she was screaming and crying for a good ten minutes because we wouldn't give her milk for breakfast until she asked politely. Ahhhh...good times.
It totally depends on the kid, but most of my more "veteran" moms concur with me...sorry!

Oh, in fact, I asked the same question almost exactly a year ago after a particularly harrowing Christmas season with DD.
Is three worse than two???

My daughter will be 4 in April and IMO yes 3 was worse BUT it was a shorter period of time AND the good moments out weighed the bad but when they were bad wow they were bad

From my experience, the 3s were tough if they skipped the terrible 2s.
