Tell me your post partum jeans
Hi ladies....i am 7wks post partum and am having a hard time finding jeans that accomodate my new kangaroo pouch! I still have weight to lose but feel like no mattee what I am going to have this pouch!! I am still wearing maternity jeans bc I hate the way jeans are looking...ive had to get higher waisted jeans that go over the pouch and then I can see the lump!! I am used to wearing low rise jeans...please tell me your favorite jeans

Re: Tell me your post partum jeans
try Not Your Daughters Jeans, they are so comfy, I had to size down 2 sizes, but they work for me. I always had small hips and round tummy, preg just made it a lot worse.
They are pricey, but for me worth it.

Re: Tell me your post partum jeans
Old Navy Dreamer fit. I bought 2 pair after I had my 1st DS. They are a curved waist, higher on the sides, but still high enough to hold in the pouch in the front. They run full, too, so size down 1 size if you're ordering online.

Re: Tell me your post partum jeans
I second Old Navy.
I wore my maternity jeans for a few weeks...and then even though I couldn't wear MY jeans, I wanted to feel human again...so I went to Old Navy and they have so many different styles..and they are cheap, so it isn't a big investment if you plan on it being temporary.
They are stretch! Love them!

Re: Tell me your post partum jeans
I got 2 pairs in Old Navy... but the problem is they have the stretch, so after a few hours they fall down
I am ready to try the "Not your Daughters Jeans" because I have heard a lot of good things.
Someone also mentioned a specific type of Levis once... I have to find the thread...

Re: Tell me your post partum jeans
I guess I like mommy jeans... I am crazy about Coldwater Creek jeans -- they are so soft and stretchy. I actually did wear them pre-pregnancy too (but post-wedding weight err) and still wear the same size now. They have a lot of give. But I've never worn anything super low waisted.
I also like DKNY SoHo jeans (from Macy's). I wore a size 12 prepregnancy and still wear it now, although I do have more of a muffin top than before where my belly was.

Re: Tell me your post partum jeans
My maternity jeans were too big (or the elastic sat on my c-section scar) and my pre-pg ones were too small. I lived in velour sweats.
I bought two cheap pairs at Target once I could comfortably wear clothes that buttoned and zipped.

Re: Tell me your post partum jeans
If you can get them on sale, I've found that Gap Perfect Boot cut are the best for me, they come up higher and don't cut in on the sides so there is no muffin top.

Re: Tell me your post partum jeans
I too wear Not Your Daughters Jeans. I actually bought them when I was 10 weeks preggo to hide my baby bump since we weren't telling anyone yet. Now I use them to hide my pp pouch.
They come up high, to my belly button and have loads of stretch. They were pricey, $110 at Nordstrom but they are dark denim boot cut that can dress up or down. They'll be in my wardrobe for a long time so I figured worth the investment.
Good luck jean shopping!

Re: Tell me your post partum jeans
don't stress yourself too much at 7 weeks. My friend has a 7 week old and just came over in maternity shorts. that being said, low rise, just might not work for a while or again. i like gap long and lean the best...mid rise so they don't look like "mom jeans"! ironically, i get them in petite! ha!

Re: Tell me your post partum jeans
I might have to try "Not your daughter's jeans". I have some luck with gap jeans, but not with old navy.

Good luck jean shopping! me three...although i was introduced to them at Loehmann"s for 1/2 the price! I think I paid $45 per pair, but some styles I found fit better than others (after loving a pair I went back for 2 more and although good, not as great as the first pair I snagged)

Re: Tell me your post partum jeans
I live in old Navy jeans. Only 1 falls down and just a little (they really fall down now that I have lost weight now.) I think it depends on the style. they are not as good as they used to be.
