Tell me your success stories when you spotted early!

I am 7.5 weeks and have yet to have a sonogram yet. I have had a lot of nausea which made me feel like things were progressing ok. This morning when I went to the bathroom (tmi) to pee, I noticed some blood on the tp and in the toilet. When I wiped again there was none. I called the emergency line at my doctor and she said that if I start to cramp or soak through a pad, to go to the emergency room. Of course I am trying not to panic, but my mind is racing. This did not happen with my DS. Please tell me your success stories if you spotted early because I need something positive to focus on! TIA!

Tell me your success stories when you spotted early!

I had spotting for about a week at about 6 weeks. It was always brown and my RE said not to worry unless it was cramping and red.

At just over 5 weeks I more than spotted I actually had clots come out...it was a Saturday night so I just assumed the worse and spent the weekend waiting to miscarry...I didn't bother calling my doctor I just waited till Monday morning to call, they saw me that afternoon and shocked as I was I was still pregnant and they couldn't explain why I lost some clots...my husband was in disbelief and here I am almost 37 weeks and waiting for my little Chat Icon Arrival...I know it's easier said then done but try and relax and I'm Chat Icon Everything is just fine for you

Tell me your success stories when you spotted early!

I had spotting around 5 weeks -- it was dark and only when I wiped. I went to the doctor the next morning and he pulled a big clot out of my cervix. He told me I was miscarrying. I waited to miscarry at home while the clot (which he thought was the baby) was sent for testing. A week later, no more bleeding and the clot came back unexplained with no human tissue. I am 24 weeks now with a little boy! Go to the doctor if you're concerned, but you can't even believe everything they say!

With my DS I spotted at 8 weeks 10 weeks and 12 weeks and it was bright red with clotts. I would try to stay calm. If it was just alittle with no cramping your fine . Chat Icon Chat Icon

Tell me your success stories when you spotted early!

I spotted a few times and each time the doctor told me as long as there was no cramping it was fine. Twice it was brown/light pink and one time it was red with clotting, that was at 12 weeks. I'm now 20w5d and all is well. Just take it easy, drink even more water and keep your feet up.

I "spotted" around 7 weeks. I was out with DH and bled through my shorts (not fully but enough). I didn't have any cramping, but it was red blood and I was scared. I went the next day to my dr and they did an u/s. everything looked good except for a small tear (I forget what it's called - a sub hemotoma something). Anyway.... Here I am 16w pregnant with a little girl :)

Crashing to tell you that I spotted at about 6 weeks, again at about 10 weeks, and had enough blood that I needed a pad at 14 weeks (didn't soak through, but it was like the 1st day of my period). Each time, the spotting/bleeding lasted for about 24 hours. And DD was perfect. Chat Icon

I remember that feeling - literally shaking each time when I saw the spots. Feeling shaky and awful all day, and frantically checking the tp like a crazy woman when the spotting ended. It's scary. But hey, get used to it - just wait until your LO sleeps alone in her crib for the first time, or eats solid food for the first time, or she's playing with another kid outside and you lose sight of her for a second. It never ends. Chat Icon Good luck and hang in there. Chat Icon

I had spotting around 7 weeks, and it was bright red. I'll be 22w pregnant tomorrow!

I know it's hard not to worry, but spotting is SO common. As your dr said, as long as it's not accompanied by severe cramping your baby is most likely fine. Try to stay off your feet as much as possible until you stop spotting.

Good luck!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

i spotted from weeks 7-9. DD is now 16m old. it is extremely common to spot during the first trimester. as long as its JUST spotting and not accompanied by cramping, it's not necessarily a red flag for anything bad.

A friend of mine bled enough that she did go to the emergency room, but it turned out everything was ok and she now has a healthy 2 month old. Good luck to you Chat Icon

Thanks everyone for your personal stories! It means so much to hear that everything could be ok. I haven't had any more spotting since the one time yesterday morning. I am praying that's it. My first appointment is Wednesday and it can't come fast enough!!
