Telling my friends...
Ok be honest...
For some reason I don't want to call my friends to tell them I am pregnant. I wanted to do something cute/ funny. I have a picture of my dog wearing his "I'm going to be a big brother" t shirt from when we told our parents. I wanted to either send them an email or send snail mail (in this case I prefer the snail mail). I want to make it into a card.. on one side it will just say "Guess What" and on the other side will be his picture.
All my friends know im completely crazy about my dog and would probably get a kick out of this. DH this its dumb and I should call them.
What do you think?

I think it's a cute idea!! Whatever you do, tell them all at once, so they don't all go blabbing it before you have a chance to tell them. For that reason alone, email might be better. We started telling people one by one and before we got to the next person, they already knew bc people don't know how to put a cork in it!

I would send an email, make the subject "Guess What" and then have the picture. That is so cute!

I actually dont have a "group" of friends.. its very odd. I have alot of friends but they dont hang out with eachother.. they do when I get everyone together and they all get along great.. but alone they have other friends.. its so odd but at the same time its great..much less drama  I have one small group that I would plan on telling at the same time because word travels fast with them!

I do like the email too because its instant.. i wont be waiting all week thinking "when are they going to get it.."
DH tells me an email is not personal.. but I just love sending the pic of my dog.. cause thats totally something I would do.

i also wanted to tell my friends in person. imo~ its a moment you cant get back. i wanted to be there witness & share with them.
it worked out the superbowl party we were going to - almost all of our friends would be at.
so i waited pretty much until the party was over and than asked if anyone wanted to see some pics and pulled out the sonos!
needless to say i was happy i did it face to face! some faces ~ i will never ever forget! 
watching their reactions change from confusion to joy than kinda back a bunch of times was just classic!
imo - email is not personal. especially depending on the closeness of the friends you are telling. if one of my besties told me via email it would upset me. jmho

They will probably all call you the second they see your email. Its not like you are never going to talk to them in person. It is a cute way to get the picture out there.

Thats so cute!! I would LOVE to tell my friends in person but I will probably never get a chance to see everyone together. Some live very far, others are never around etc.. Like I said its not really a group of friends.. more like ones all over the place... so I wasnt sure how to handle it.
Im also not the excited kind.. I know its weird but I get embarrassed talking about it and telling people. Im really weird.

i get it. i too felt like telling them i was preggers was so "heavy" ~ i cant explain it. for me it worked best to tell them face to face.
i hope you figure out what works best for your situation.
i worry w/ the emails tho. what if your friend doesnt check her email that day? anxiety/anticipation would drive me crazy.
maybe you could call and do a litle small talk and than say - oh i just emailed you something go check it. maybe that will be a good solution. just an idea.
