telling work..

So Im going to tell work next week (I will be 9 weeks) and I'm so nervous! I work for a small firm and they never had someone go out on pregnancy before. I don't plan on coming back to work but do you think I should tell them that right away or should I make it like I need time to think about if I'm coming back (incase I change my mind)?

How should I word it??
I was thinking something like: "Guess what I'm preggo and my a** is outta this hole in 6 months!" hehehe

I was in the same boat as you. I'm their first pregnant woman. Don't tell them you aren't coming back, but you can always say you don't know yet what you're doing. You've got plenty of time.

Re: telling work..

I personally would not tell them that you are not coming back. And if they ask tell them that you had not considered that option.

I agree.
I would say (only if they ask) that you dont see any reason at this time why you wouldnt come back.

I have the same circumstances, and do NOT tell them you aren't coming back!

ETA: I AM coming back, but I still wouldn't tell them if I wasn't. Small firms can be very tricky.

yes, I agree, do not tell them you are not coming back. You never know what they might do. You don't need to tell them so soon anyway.
